KS1 Cooking Class - making potato crisps!

For our second Cooking and Planting ECA session we made yummy potato crisps! To make our crisps we used two different types of potato - sweet potatoes and regular white potatoes.

First we watched Ms. Hays demonstrate how to cut the potatoes into thin slices, using a knife and a chopping board. Next we greased several baking trays with vegetable oil, so that the potatoes would not stick to the trays once they were in the hot oven. Before we placed the sliced potatoes into the oven we drizzled a small amount of vegetable oil on top of the potatoes so that they would become extra crispy! 

Our potato crisps were delicious!
